MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER REMOTE CONTROL
What Microsoft Windows XP Media Center? XP Media Center can take the PCs you build for your customers from the desk/office to the places they belong: the living room the bedroom and virtually any place where people go to enjoy home entertainment. Designed to become the central digital media hub in any entainment system Windows Media Center xp brings exciting new features to the operating system such as: HD TV Tuner Support Dual TV Tuner Support Enhanced DVD-Burner / DVD Writer Support including Direct to DVD Recording Caller ID (Screen Pop) support and much more.
Windows XP vs Windows Media Center 2005. Windows XP Media Center is a superset of Windows XP Professional Edition that provides a wide range of features to help you use multimedia technology such as: TV Tuners FM Tuners Video Capture Devices Digital Cameras and more. These features go above and beyond what was possible in Windows XP Professional to help make your PC a digital hub for all your multimedia needs. The key feature that Windows Professional Edition has that Media Center 2005 lacks is support for Domain Controllers. As such we do not recommend Media Center 2005 for workplace enviroments / any where a domain controller is required. MCE 2005 is distributed as a OEM package for system builders.
Exclusively for system builders - Take your customers into tomorrow's digital media realm by integrating MCE 2005 into your next customer build! This represents the evolution of home PCs into digital media hubs that bring together users' entertainment choices and allow access to them with only one remote control.
The Past: Previously this software product was available only to the tier-one system builders. Now Microsoft has made it available to all system builders - enabling them to compete and do a better job than the "big guys." This competition will benefit the small businesses and the consumers at large. This move will certainly make the technology more widely available and give it a better chance to improve over time.
