As a member of the 9700 series the 9748TS/XP is an entry level Layer 3 Gigabit switch. As with all members of this family of switches it features dedicated stacking interfaces with 40Gbps of stacking bandwidth and caters best to those who have the "Through bandwidth at it" approach to QoS. The 9748TS/XP is an ideal choice for small to medium enterprises that need gigabit to the desk connectivity and full Layer 3 functionality at the access edge of the network. It offers two dedicated stacking for a resilient ring stack topology and can support two 10Gbps XFPs.
